The Small Bites · A plate for four
Sharp Cheddar & Apple
The oldest cheese-plate trick there is, because it works.
No cooking, no recipe card required — just buy good cheddar and slice the apples at the last minute. The sharp-sweet-cold combination makes every autumn drink on the menu taste more like itself.

What You Need
- 8 oz aged sharp cheddar, broken into shards
- 2 crisp apples (Honeycrisp or Pink Lady), sliced thin
- A squeeze of lemon
- Honey, for drizzling
How It Comes Together
- 01
Slice and Lemon
Slice the apples thin and toss with a squeeze of lemon so they hold their color on the plate.
- 02
Break, Don't Cube
Break the cheddar into rough shards with a knife tip — craggy edges catch the honey and look like you meant it.
- 03
Fan and Drizzle
Fan the apple beside the cheddar, drizzle honey over everything, and serve within the half hour.
The honey should just reach the cheese — a thread, not a pool.
