Chocolate-Dipped Biscotti

Made for dunking, dressed for company.

Good store-bought biscotti, half-dipped in dark chocolate, is a completely respectable dessert and the correct partner for anything warm and spiced. Nobody has ever been sad to see these next to a mug.

Chocolate-Dipped Biscotti

What You Need

  • 12 biscotti, homemade or good store-bought
  • 6 oz dark chocolate (around 70%)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or butter
  • Flaky salt or chopped pistachios, for finishing

How It Comes Together

  1. 01

    Melt Gently

Melt the chocolate with the coconut oil in a bowl over barely-simmering water, stirring until glossy. Microwave in 20-second bursts if you must.

  2. 02

    Dip and Drag

Dip each biscotti halfway, then drag one side against the bowl's edge — a clean back means they sit flat and look deliberate.

  3. 03

    Let Them Set

Lay on parchment, finish with salt or pistachios, and leave alone for an hour (or 15 minutes in the fridge).

The chocolate goes from glossy to matte when it's set.
